My Services

Medical Insurances

I do not accept insurance at this time but I can provide a statement that can be submitted to your insurance. I recommend contacting your insurance to make sure you can be reimbursed before scheduling our initial consultation or to obtain information about out-of-network providers. I chose to build a self-pay practice for a few reasons. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I highly value my client's confidentiality and privacy. Working with insurance can create additional stress than can primarily impact the work that I do with my clients. Not taking insurance allows me to take better care of my clients in that form, be more present for my clients, and focus on their symptoms rather than their diagnoses. I understand that this is not an option for everyone and I will always try to post resources within the state of Texas that present an opportunity for everyone to get mental health services. Please look at the resources tab for additional information. â€‹

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to provide clients and patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including counseling, psychotherapy, and mental health services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services such as therapy services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your good faith estimate you can dispute the bill. For more questions or information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.
